Alfred L. Pesavento
Alfred L. Pesavento, 87, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Anna Grasso Pesavento, died October 15. Born in Fairfield, Mr Pesavento was a lifelong Fairfield resident.
He was a Naval veteran of World War II, serving with the Seabees in the Pacific Theater. He had worked for the Zandonella Builders for more than 25 years before joining his familyâs business at Hemlock Hardware. A man of all trades, Mr Pesavento was a gifted woodworker and mechanic; he also took great pride in caring for his home. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his devoted wife of 66 years, he leaves behind his son, Alfred P. Pesavento, and his wife Cathy, of Newtown; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, John Pesavento of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. His brother Eugene Pesavento predeceased Mr Pesavento.
The Pesavento family would like to express their thanks to the staff of the Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center and the St Vincentâs Intensive Care Unit for the care that Mr Pesavento received during his illness.
Funeral services took place October 18, in Fairfield.
