Luke Magill and Brian Miles of the Newtown United U13 travel soccer team have been selected for the Olympic Development Program (ODP). The program is designed to identify young players with the potential to advance in the sport. A series of intensive training sessions will lead to a tournament early in the year 2000. Magill and Miles were selected with other players from a group of about 100 athletes representing western Connecticut, all of whom were reviewed over two consecutive Sundays in mid-September.
