Expert Advice On Building A Shed

ROXBURY — A book signing will be hosted by The Friends of the Roxbury Library for Roxbury resident and author Joe Truini to introduce his book, Building a Shed. The event will be on Saturday, April 5, from noon to 2 pm, at Minor Memorial Library. The book, published by Newtown’s Taunton Press, is the first of a new series called “Build Like a Pro™, Expert Advice Start to Finish.”

Building a Shed goes beyond the usual scope of how-to books by providing the do-it-yourself builder with detailed information and expert tips and techniques for not only the planning and designing of a shed but also for the actual construction process. The book guides the shedbuilder through each step of building four sheds, ranging from a two-foot by six-foot shed locker to a spacious 12-foot by 20-foot Gambrel Storage Barn. More than 300 photographs and 70 illustrations further explain the text.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase for $19.95 at the signing and are also available through Taunton.com and Amazon.com. Refreshments will be served at the signing.

For more information call Tacey Dietlmeier at 860-354-9720. The library, at 23 South Street, can be reached for details on directions at 860-350-2181.
