Loved Country Life

Stephen “Pete” Takacs, 80, a lifetime resident of Redding, died January 4, after a long illness.

He is survived by three siblings, including Jennie Antal of Newtown; his daughter, Deborah Gebert and her husband, Walter; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Steven Takacs.

He worked as a foreman at McKesson & Robbins for most of his adult life, until his retirement. He loved “country living,” and farming.

In honor of his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
