Free Afrikan Drumming Concert

DANBURY — Danbury Music Centre will sponsor a free public concert of drumming on Wednesday, August 18, at 7:30 pm, at Rogers Park Middle School.

Under the direction of Ase-AmenRa Kariamu, the program will be composed of traditional West Afrikan music.

Brother Ase, who studied under master drummers, has made many of the drums being used in the program. He has hosted many traditional West Afrikan workshops in the greater Danbury area.
