Raffaela Harrick

Raffaela Silvestrino Pascale Harrick, widow of the late Norwalk councilman Martin M. Pascale, died April 27. At the time of her passing, she was living at Gladeview Health Care Center in Old Saybrook.

She was born in New York City, daughter of the late Raffaele and Giovanna (DaMato) Silvestrino. She married in 1935 in New York City, and as a young bride moved to Norwalk, where she was a resident for more than 60 years.

She is survived by her son Dominic E. Pascale and his wife Naomi of San Jose, Calif., her daughter Mary Anne (Pascale) Novak and her husband Richard J. Novak of Misquamicut, R.I.; and Martin J. Pascale and his wife Ann Marie (Giordano) Pascale of Monroe; her grandchildren, Michelle and her husband Daniel McAloon of Sandy Hook, Laurie Anne and her husband Kenneth Christensen of Danbury, Richard J. Novak, Esq, of East Haven, Martin J. Pascale, Jr, and Heather Pascale both of Monroe, and Penny Pascale and Marylynn Pascale; her great-grandchildren, Logan McAloon of Sandy Hook, and Meghan and Amanda Christensen of Danbury.

She is also survived by her stepsons, John Harrick, Jr, of Norwalk and Thomas Harrick; her sister, Amelia Gualtieri of Staten Island, N.Y.; a brother, Frank Silvestrino of Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Henry Silvestrino.

A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled to be held on Friday, April 30, at 10 am at St Mary Church, 669 West Avenue, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St John Cemetery, Norwalk. The family was scheduled to receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, on Thursday, April 29, from 5 to 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rafaela Harrick’s name to St Joseph School, Main Street, Danbury CT 06810.
