Dolores Raposo of Fall River, Mass., Bethel, and Fort Myers, Fla., died August 11.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; six children, Edward Raposo of Newtown, Ronald Raposo of Kissimmee, Fla., Donna Rose of Zephyrhills, Fla., Barbara Downing of Fort Myers, Richard Raposo of Fort Myers, Diana Andrews of St Cloud, Fla.; and 14 grandchildren. All are formerly from Bethel. A sister, Irene Brizida of Fall River, Mass.; a brother, Edward Andre of Somerset, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews also survive Mrs Raposo.
She worked at McDonaldâs in Danbury for more than 20 years.
She had many hobbies, such as bingo, bowling, casino cruises, picture puzzles, puzzles books, deep-sea fishing, television games, and entertaining her grandchildren. She was also an active ceramics member making all kinds of ceramic objects for her children and grandchildren.
She loved going out for lunch with her husband to various restaurants two or three times a week. After that, she would stop to pick up her bingo scratch-off tickets.
Visitation hours were scheduled for Thursday, August 14, from 6 to 8 pm at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled Friday, August 15, at 11 am, at St Columbkill Catholic Church, Fort Meyers. Burial will immediately follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Fort Myers (Fla.) Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard.
