James M. Post, son of Jim and Betsy Post, has graduated from the Valley Forge Military Academy. Cadet Post joined nearly 80 upper school cadets who graduated during a ceremony held on June 7, and he will be attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcestor, Mass, in the fall.

Thomas M. Cruson, Rebecca S. Gellis, Adam Moskowitz, and Travis C. Hunter made the Dean’s List for the sping 2008 semester at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y. In order to make the Dean’s List at Rensselaer, students must maintain full-time status and a minimum grade point average of 3.0 with no grades below a C.

Timothy Kutt, son of Mr and Mrs Gerhard Kutt of Sandy Hook, graduated on June 8 from Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingfod. He will attend the University of Toronto in the fall. Choate Rosemary Hall is an independent secondary school.

Brendan T. Deveney has been named to the honor roll at Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass. Phillips Academy is a nonprofit independent high school, and to make the honor role students must have an average of a 5 point grade average on a 6 point scale.

 Jina M. Willie and Alex M. Snow were named to the Dean’s List at Western New England College in Springfield, Mass, for the spring semester of 2008. Students are named to the Dean’s List at Western New England College for earning a grade point average of 3.3 or higher.

Kathleen Belmont, Katrina Buyers, Julianne Hip, Suzanne Lang, Jaclyn Lockwood, William Parker, Stephanie Provoke, and Jessica Schwartz of Newtown, and Mathew Donation, Eliza Hallabeck, Jaime Lindquist, Anne Marie Murphy and Jennifer Pursue of Sandy Hook were 2008 graduates from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven.

Farley Miller and Amanda Krause of Sandy Hook made the spring 2008 Dean’s List at American University. Farley and Amanda are students in the College of Arts and Sciences. Farley is majoring in audio technology, and Amanda is majoring in biology. To earn recognition on the Dean’s List at American University students must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on their semester courses.

Megan D. Laflamme and Lisa M. Morgan, and Timothy J. McMullan and Joseph C. Rahtelli of Sandy Hook were named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2008 semester at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Jessica Stiewing, daughter of James and Deborah Stiewing, received her bachelor of science degree in speech pathology and audiology at California State University in East Bay, Calif., in June. She is currently an intern at Santa Clara Medical Center in San Jose, Calif., with a concentration in traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, stroke, and larenjectomies.
