ALEXANDRE GALLERY SHOWS AMENOFF & TORR

ak/gs set 4-12 #695823

NEW YORK CITY — The Alexandre Gallery, in the Fuller Building, 41 East 57th Street, will have the work of gallery artists on view through May.

“Gregory Amenoff: Facing North,” is the gallery’s first show of Amenoff’s abstract and colorful work. It is accompanied by a fully illustrated catalog with text by Trevor Winkfield.

Also on view is “Helen Torr: Selected Sketchbook Pages.” Concurrent with the Amenoff exhibition is a selection of small-scale sketchbook pages by Torr from the early 1930s. Done on site at locations around Huntington, N.Y., that were frequented by Torr and husband Arthur Dove, various landscape and cloud motifs are explored in a variety of styles and varying degrees of abstraction.
