Olga Szilvasy Reszoly, 87, of Newtown since 1996 and formerly of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, died January 28. She was born in Bridgeport, April 11, 1921, to Anthony and Julia Steher Szilvasy.
She was a graduate of St Stephens Parochial School in 1934 and graduated from Bassick High School. She worked for the Harvey Hubbell Co of Bridgeport until 1961, when she left to become a homemaker.
 Mrs Reszoly was married to her devoted husband, Louis, on October 15, 1960. She was a parishioner of the former St Stephen, St Ann, Holy Family, and St Rose of Lima Churches. She was well known for cooking her Hungarian delicacies, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs Reszoly was especially proud watching her grandchildren grow up.
In addition to her beloved husband, survivors include her son, Louis G. Reszoly and his wife, Colleen, of Newtown; her cherished grandsons, Brian, Tyler, and Keith Reszoly; a sister-in-law, Emmie Bulyaki of Hungary; and several nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31, at 10:15 am, in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center, and at 11 am in St Annâs Church, 481 Brewster Street, Bridgeport, with burial to follow in St Michaelâs Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 30, from 3 to 7 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to either St Annâs Church or the Newtown Ambulance Co, who helped Mrs Reszoly through the last few years.
