John Nickolas Sikeritzky, 84, of Orange died February 7 from complications of pulmonary fibrosis.
His loving wife of 57 years, Lorraine; two daughters, Ginny Wolcott and her husband, Jeff, of Sandy Hook, Nancy Piner and husband, Jim, of Milford; grandson Christopher Wolcott; granddaughter Kelly Piner; dear brother-in-law George Kuchinsky and wife, Ann Marie; and several nieces and nephews survive him.
John was predeceased by his son, Michael John Sikeritzky; and his brother, Alexander Sikeritzky.
Mr Sikeritzky was born on September 3, 1920, in New Haven a son of the late Nickolas and Anna Rolich Sikeritzky. John was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Navy. He graduated from the University of New Haven with a degree in mechanical engineering, and retired from Armstrong Rubber Corporation. He was a member of the American Legion Frank J. Stempick Post 162.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, February 12, at Lupinski Funeral Home, 821 State Street, New Haven. Friends may call Friday, February 11, from 4 pm to 7 pm.
