Fifth grade first place winners were Courtney Carroll in the Visual Arts category, Emilia McGuinness Getzinger in the Musical Composition category, Sienna Cummings in the literature category, and Marlena Young in the Photography category. Sixth grade winners were Shannon Cheh in the Visual Arts, Ryan Patrick in Video Production, Sophie Wolfman in Photography, Rachel Tomasino in Literature, and Serene Aryeh in Musical Composition.

The Reed entries were judged by Newtown High School art teacher Carol Pelligra, co-president of Flagpole Photography Club Ann Eigen, retired music teacher Martha Millett, and retired middle school teacher Margitta Savo. The first place winning entries will go on to be judged at the state PTA level of the competition.
