NYS Parents Workshop Is Nov. 27

“Caving In” will be the topic of Newtown Youth Services’ latest Parent Program. Susan Morse will facilitate this workshop on Tuesday, November 27, at 7 pm at NYS.

Ms Morse has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Connecticut and is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years experience providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy. She has concentrated training and expertise in child and adolescent development and in family therapy. She has conducted several workshops on effective parenting.

Ms Morse is in private practice in Newtown and she also works for the Department of Children and Families as a clinical consultant.

Drawing on extensive training, knowledge, and her own personal experiences, Ms Morse will discuss what causes parents to succumb to the pressure of their children, and how understanding the causes can help them avoid “caving in.”
