Karen M. (Knowlson) Fallon

Karen M. (Knowlson) Fallon, 53, of Sandy Hook, died March 11 at the UConn Health Center in Farmington. She was the wife of Thomas J. Fallon.

Mrs Fallon was born December 18, 1946 in Troy, N.Y., daughter of the late George B. and Frances M. (Herlihy) Knowlson. She received her degree in nursing from SUNY in Farmingdale, N.Y. She was a registered nurse at Danbury Hospital and a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She was a member of the Heritage Village Ladies Nine Hole Golf Club and was the club’s champion in 1997. She was a member of the I-Can Cancer Support Group of Danbury and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Southbury. Formerly of Scotia, N.Y., she moved to Sandy Hook in 1984.

Besides her husband of 31 years, she leaves one son, Thomas G. Fallon of Sandy Hook; two daughters, Celeste F. Smith and Justine Fallon, both of West Hartford; one brother, Paul Knowlson of Muskegon, Mich.; and one grandson, Jackson Fallon Bell of West Hartford.

A funeral mass was to be held Thursday, March 16 at 7 pm at Sacred Heart Church, Main Street South, Southbury. Burial will be private.

Arrangements were by Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South, Southbury.
