Langellotti Joins Staff At Julieâs Piano Workshop
Julie Cook, director of Julieâs Piano Workshop in Newtown, recently announced the addition of Bill Langellotti of Watertown to the teaching staff.
Mr Langellotti began piano studies as a child, and he played professionally in high school, college, and later in local bands and combos. He holds a BS in music education from UConn and a MS from Western Connecticut State University.Â
For the past 30 years he served as a choral and band instructor at every grade level in Region 14 (Woodbury-Bethlehem), as well as accompanied and directed community and school musicals.
His taste in music ranges widely from classical to popular idioms. He is an experienced jazz and rock musician and equally comfortable with classical repertoire.
Mr Langellottiâs goal is to share effective practice strategies and help build technique. He says, âI want to see students playing their favorite styles of music at the piano so that lessons will be fun and rewarding.â
