To the Editor:
In compliance with the provisions of Mary Hawleyâs will, an elected bipartisan, six-person Board of Managers is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Edmond Town Hall. For the last six years Jim Juliano has been a member of the Board of Managers, and is currently the chair.
Because of his background in construction, Jim has acted as the general contractor on several projects at no cost to the town. Here are just a few of his accomplishments:
1. The complete renovation of the Alexandria Room kitchen. The initial cost was in excess of $225,000, but Jim completed the project for $125,000. In the process, he subcontracted out work to several Newtown businesses. The kitchen now meets all health code requirements.
2. The renovation of the Alexandria Room that has restored this room to its former grace and elegance.
3. The renovation of the theaterâs HVAC system that has dramatically reduced the cost of energy.
4. Jim is currently working on the restoration of the Edmond Town Hall gym, and researching the most cost-effective way to replace the buildingâs 70-year-old boilers.
Jim Julianoâs skills are perfectly suited to the office he is seeking. Because of his unique abilities and knowledge, and his deep commitment to the preservation of the Edmond Town Hall, he deserves to be reelected on November 8.
Sincerely.
