St Rose of Lima School is scheduled to hold an Open House on Sunday, January 26, from 1 to 3 pm. The school is at 40 Church Hill Road in Newtown.

The event will include guided tours of the pre-school and kindergarten through eighth grade school; meeting faculty, school administration members, current parents and students; visiting classrooms and other instructional rooms; and learning about the school’s curriculum, including foreign languages, art, music, technology, physical education and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) programs.

Additionally, New Family Registration for the 2014-15 school year will take place in the school library during the Open House hours. New students are warmly welcomed from Newtown and from surrounding towns. See the admissions section of the school’s website for a listing of required documentation.

St Rose of Lima School was awarded a National Blue Ribbon School Award, and the school provides children in pre-school through eighth grade a foundation for individual academic excellence in a faith-based community.
