Residents Sought For Commission Posts
First Selectman Pat Llodra is seeking residents to fill several opening on local appointed boards and commissions. In some cases the appointments are required to be affiliated with a specific political party, while in other cases unaffiliated voters are encouraged to consider serving.
Current openings exist on:
*The Conservation Commission has a vacant positions available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter.
*The Hattertown Historic District has an alternate position available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter
*The Inland Wetlands Commission has two vacant positions available to either a Republican or unaffiliated voter.
*the Economic Development Commission has a vacant position available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter.
*Fairfield Hills Authority has a vacant position available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter.
*Commission on Aging has a vacant alternate position, the last day to express interest is August 29 with an anticipated appointment date of September 2.
*The Police Commission has a vacant position available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter. The last day to express interest is September 12 with anticipated appointment date of September 15.
*Also, the Design Advisory Board has two alternate positions available to any registered voter (but no more than one of the same party)
