The second annual Newtown Antiques Market will be Saturday, June 27, 10 am-5 pm, on the grounds of the beautiful Fairfield Hills campus.

The one day, festive, outdoor show and sale benefits Newtown Historical Society and its mission of preserving historic structures, mounting noteworthy exhibits, and promoting local history.

Frank Gaglio of Barn Star Productions, based in Rhinebeck, N.Y., said he and his company are thrilled to bring back the event.

“The fundraiser for the Society debuted to over 900 attendees last June,” said Mr Gaglio. “Newtown is conveniently located right off Route 84 and easily accessible from New York City, Westchester County, New Jersey and southern New England. Come join us for a day of discovery and fun”

Adding to the festivities will be the Newtown Hook and Ladder Company #1, serving up delicious fare and beverages with all profits going to their Building Fund. Also joining in the activities will be Newtown Lions Club, who will be selling tickets for their annual Mustang raffle.

Exhibitors will be coming from several states presenting displays of period and vintage furniture, fine and costume jewelry, garden decorations, glass, fine and folk art, pottery, wrought iron, prints, Oriental rugs, and more.

The show will be held rain or shine on the grounds of Fairfield Hills, 3 Primrose Street. Parking is free and the show is on grass manageable for most handicap visitors.

Requested donation is $8 per person. The show phone is 914-474-8552.

Limited exhibitor space is still available. Visit barnstar.com for details, as well as a full listing of dealers already committed to the show.

Amy and Tim Kerr represented Newtown Historical Society for at least part of the inaugural Newtown Antiques Market in June 2014. The historical society will again benefit from this year’s antiques market, returning June 27 to Fairfield Hills.
