Sandy Hook Resident Named To State Panel
House Minority Leader Robert M. Ward, R-86th District, has appointed Wendy Davenson of Sandy Hook to the Childrenâs Behavioral Health Advisory Committee and the State Advisory Council on Children and Families.
The appointment was announced by state representatives DebraLee Hovey, R-112th District, and Julia B. Wasserman, R-106th District.
The 31-member committee is charged with promoting and enhancing the delivery of behavioral health services to children.
âI know Wendy Davenson both personally and professionally,â said Representative Hovey, who recommended her for the appointment. âShe is a licensed marriage and family therapist with experience as both an educator and a practitioner. She is a tenacious advocate for childrenâs mental health issues who is dedicated to helping at-risk children and strengthening Connecticut families. Wendyâs background and professional experience make her uniquely well-qualified for this position.â
