The Victorian Online Price Guide Is Launched By Slawinski

FELTON, CALIF. -- The first online price guide devoted to Victorian furniture

and accessories has been launched on the World Wide Web by Slawinski Auction

Company. The free service includes over 1,000 professional quality color

images. Every listing is illustrated.

The guide is laid out much like a printed book with a chapter for every type

of Victorian object imaginable. Users can peruse a page of roll top desks,

dining tables, art glass, clocks or over a dozen other categories.

The guide should prove useful for novice and expert alike as a number of

examples of most any type of furniture are offered, allowing the user to see

average, better and best examples with actual auction results for each.

Auction manager Jack DeStories said, "We have a lot of experience selling

Victoriana and are constantly asked for advise in valuation. This guide allows

us to share that experience in an easy to understand format where anyone can

compare various examples and their prices."

The auction firm plans to update the Victorian Online Price Guide with new

results each month, adding and refining categories. As DeStories commented,

"We want to provide a broad range of items so users can see how differences in

quality impact values. In most categories you can find items from a few

hundred up to perhaps $20,000."

Slawinski Auction Company has specialized in Victoriana for almost 20 years

and conducts estate auctions monthly. The results illustrated are generally

from the past two years. The Victorian Online Price Guide can be found at the

Slawinski Auction Company home page, www.slawinski.com.
