DERBY â The Naugatuck Valley Audubon Society will host a slide presentation and talk, âThe King and The Wanderer,â on Tuesday, January 17.
Raptor researcher Lawrence B. Fischer, Jr, a federally licensed raptor bander, has been banding birds since 1980. His presentation will focus on the life histories of the great horned owl, one of the most widespread and common birds in North America, and the Northern saw-whet owl, the smallest owl found in Eastern North America. The program will take place at Kellogg Environmental Center. It will begin at 7:30 pm. A donation of $4 is being requested.
