JEWELRY APPRAISERS ANNOUNCE MIDYEAR CONFERENCE IN ATLANTA AUGUST 11–14

ATLANTA, GA. — The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers announces its 28th annual Midyear Conference, to be held August 11–14, in conjunction with the Atlanta Jewelry Show.

The appraisal organization dedicated exclusively to gems and jewelry presents a program to assist the professional appraiser’s continuing education and offer a networking experience.

The programs Saturday, August 11, are: “Positive Perspective for Appraisers” by Frank Dallahan; “It’s a Brand YOU World!” by Brian Kathenes ISA-CAPP; and “Making Serious Money from Appraisal Business” by David Geller.

Sunday, August 12: “Old Money: 10 Secrets to Vintage Jewelry Profits” by Fred Craig, GG; “Diamond Grading Secrets” by Dan Gillen, GG, and Sharrie Woodring, GG, FGA; and “Diamond Markets and Diamond Prices — How Do They Work Together?” by Martin Rapaport.

Monday, August 13: “Jewelry Hallmarks of the Empires” and “Western European Jewelry Hallmarks” by Danusia Niklewicz, GG, FGA and William Whetston; “Ancient Gems” by Fred Gray, GG; “Granulation: Valuation of an Ancient Art” by Kathryn Kinev, GG, FGA; and “The Glory of Old Europeans (Diamonds, that is)” by Michael Goldstein.

Tuesday, August 14: “All Your Appraisal Values are Wrong!” by Richard Drucker, GG; “Appraising for Insurance Companies: Details, Details, Details” by Donna Syverson; and “Photo Tips and Techniques” by Gene Bowman.
