Retired Mail Carrier For US Postal Service

Vincent E. Delanno, 78, of Fairfield, died April 14 at the VA Medical Center of West Haven. Mr Delanno was born on September 21, 1927 in Mount Vernon, N.Y., and was the son of Vincent and Angelina Orciuoli Delanno.

Survivors include his two beloved sisters, Tina Tombari of Newtown and Florence D’Elia of Long Island, N.Y.; two devoted nieces, Susan Fowler of Monroe and Dana and her husband, David Wildman, of Shelton; and several other nieces and nephews.

Mr Delanno was a retired mailman for the US Postal System. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed seeing many parts of the world during his life. Mr Delanno was very active in the Fairfield Senior Center and will be missed by many of his friends.

A Memorial Mass was held on April 18 in St Jude’s Church of Monroe. Inurnment will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Columbarium at the convenience of the family.
