Sherman

Geraldine Sherman, 87, of Bridgeport, died September 10 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly.

Mrs Sherman was born in Newtown, daughter of the late Harry and Minnie (Kaufman) Schopick, and was a lifelong Bridgeport area resident.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Sherman of Bridgeport; her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Carol Sherman of Westport; her brother, George Schopick of California; and her sister, Ceil Benney of Boston. Mrs Sherman is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Debbie and Lanny Boles of Trumbull, and Harriet and Paul Moriber of Easton; her adoring great-grandchildren, Jason, Rachel, Michelle, Elissa, Mitchell, Phillip, and Lydia; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Sherman was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Lang, in 1997.

Services and interment were private.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Home for the Elderly or to Congregation Rodeph Sholom.

The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home of Fairfield was in charge of the arrangements.
