FINAL League Registrations

The last day to sign up for the Newtown Babe Ruth Softball League will be Saturday, February 17, from 9 am to 12 noon, at the Newtown Middle School cafeteria. There will be five divisions for players betweens the ages of 6 and 18 (league age is defined by how old player was on January 1, 2001).

                Student League   6,7 and 8 year olds

            10U Division      9 and 10 year olds

            12U Division      11 and 12 year olds

            14U Division      13 and 14 year olds

            16U/18U Division          15-18 year olds

 

High school players eligible for the 14U division will be permitted to play in the 16U/18U divisions. As of now, there are not enough players to create a 16U/18U division. Those interested must come forward now (and those who have already registered should spread the word immediately).

All players must bring birth certificate to registration and a copy that will be left with the league office. Fees are $75 for players 9 to 18 years of age and $65 for players 6 to 8 years of age (there is a multiple child discount of $10).

A $10 late fee will go into effect on Sunday, February 18. At that point, league registration will be available at the Newtown Parks and Recreation Department at Town Hall South. Registration will officially close on Wednesday, February 28.
