Mammography Exams At The Health Fair

St Vincent’s Medical Center’s Swim Across the Sound will sponsor mammography screenings during the Newtown Health & Safety Fair at the middle school on Queen Street on Saturday, September 24, from 10 am to 2 pm.

Most insurance plans are accepted. The mammography exams are free for those with no insurance and financial limitations.

The breast exam will use computer-aided detection, the first FDA-approved computer-aided system for mammography. This new technology assists in the reading of mammograms and highlights areas that might otherwise go undetected.
