Interviewing Skills Program At C.H. Booth Library

Job-hunters are invited to a program on job interview strategies specifically tailored to the current challenging employment environment. Cheryl Schwartz, a career counselor in Sandy Hook, will lead the workshop at the C.H. Booth Library, Thursday, October 15, from 3 to 4:30 pm. There is no cost for the program, but registration is requested on the library’s website chboothlibrary.org, or by calling 426-4533.

The workshop will focus on the different types of interviews encountered in a job search, how to best manage the interview, questions employers may ask, and interview etiquette.

Cheryl Schwartz, MS, MSW, LCSW, CRC, has been a consultant/coach to individuals and organizations for more than 20 years. She specializes in free resume review, testing, self marketing, powerful resumes and cover letters, job search training, and negotiating.

The workshop is part of the C.H. Booth Library’s effort to assist members of the community in finding employment. A free job-hunting packet put together by the reference librarians is available on the third floor of the library, as well as at Newtown Social Services at Town Hall South, the selectman’s office at Edmond Town Hall, and FAITH Food Pantry.
