Disheartening Letters
Disheartening Letters
To the Editor:
It has become disheartening to read letters to The Bee week after week attacking our fellow townspeople for things that some perceive not to be to their liking. Why do some find it necessary to express their feelings in such a mean-spirited way? If an issue truly bothers you, have the courage to contact the person directly and get the facts. You may be surprised to find that everything you read in the newspaper isnât completely factual
In light of what has taken place in our country, I would think we would all show a little more sensitivity. Donât cause unnecessary additional harm. Take into account how your words will affect other people. There is certainly no reason to disparage our town that has shown so much compassion and caring since the recent tragedy. I will always be proud to live in Newtown.
