To the Editor:

I want to thank Alan Clavette, Jack Huray, and Larry Rice for participating in our Chamber Tax Panel presentation at the CH Booth Library last Tuesday, February 27. These three men shared their wisdom and expertise to help other Chamber members and residents better understand the implications of the new tax law. Despite this being the busiest time of the year for accounting professionals, Alan, Jack, and Larry freely gave their time to help. Beyond their professional roles, each of these individuals is also very active in a wide range of efforts and organizations to support our community and help make Newtown a better place. This quiet volunteerism is exactly what a thriving community and Chamber of Commerce looks like - people of character helping neighbors, sharing wisdom, and promoting a healthy local business community. Our thanks again to each of them for their positive example of community service.
