Drum-Painting Class at IAIS
WASHINGTON â The Institute for American Indian Studies will offer its first course in drum-painting on Sunday, November 19.
Presenter E. Barrie Kavasch, an ethnobotanist, author IAIS research associate, illustrator and master drum builder, is well known for her artistic talents. She will bring this expertise to share in an intensive class in drum painting using Native American designs and acrylic paints.
Participants must bring their own drums to decorate. The class will be held from noon to 5 pm. Cost is $20 per person. Connecticut Educators may earn .5 CEUs by attending.
