Sandy Hook resident Taylor Smith earned a Dean’s Honors Award for the spring semester at Lesley University’s College of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, Cambridge, Mass. 

Kevin M. Rovelli of Newtown was awarded The Charles A. Dana Prize Scholarship, The Benjamin Walworth Arnold Prize Scholarship, The Brockway Prize, and The Phi Beta Kappa Book Prize at Hamilton College’s annual Convocation, held on August 29, in Clinton, N.Y. The Convocation ceremony officially marked the beginning of Hamilton’s 201st academic year.

Northeastern University announced Sandy Hook resident Nicolas Wright, a business administration major, was recently named to the university’s Dean’s List for the spring semester, which ended in May. To achieve the Dean’s List distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality grade point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career.
