Flagpole Photographers Will Celebrate The Holidays This Weekend
Members of the Flagpole Photographers Club gathered at C.H. Booth Library for the clubs third meeting of the new season, with President John Tucci welcoming returning members, newcomers and guests on November 16. The speakers at the November meeting were two of the âMoosketeersâ â Tom Cuchara and Gary Prestash. Mr Cuchara is the New Haven Camera Club president and Mr Prestash has been a member since 1995.
Flagpolers and guests were entertained by the Moostketeersâ audio and visual slideshow of their trips to Baxter State Park. They have been making the trip for the past seven years to photograph moose and nature.
Membersâ photographs were then entered into the monthly competition. Novemberâs theme was open print.
Mr Cuchara and Mr Pretash provided critiquing and judging. Winners for the monthly photo competition were as follows: first place, Anne Eigan for âOn a Missionâ; second, Donna White, âHeart of the Roseâ; third, Tom French, âTreesâ; first place digital, Jill Baimel, âA Light Strollâ; second place digital, Darwin Bacchiocchi, âPrickly Balllsâ; and third place digital, Jim Talarino, âAlstomaria.â
