Spencer Chiimbwe To Lead Film Discussion
C.H. Booth Library in Newtown will host a screening and discussion of Pray the Devil Back to Hell on Monday, October 26, at 6 pm. This film documents the role of the womenâs peace movement in ending the decade long civil war in the West African country of Liberia.
Made by Abigail E. Disney and Gini Reticker, Pray the Devil Back to Hell has won numerous awards, including the prestigious 2008 Tribeca Film Festival Award for Best Documentary.
The C.H. Booth Library screening is courtesy of The Center for Conflict Dialogue in New York founded by Spencer Chiimbwe. A Zambian, Mr Chiimbwe has extensive experience with conflict resolution in African countries. He will lead a discussion on the lessons learned in Liberia and other African countries following the film.
