The Holiday Season Is Closer Than We Think

On August 7 the official kick-off meeting for the 18th Annual Newtown Holiday Festival was held at My Place Restaurant. Nancy Obremski is returning as the festival’s chairman this year, and she was joined last week by a number of people who are already thinking about the holidays and Newtown’s biggest festival. This year’s event will be on Sunday, December 7, and will again include events for all ages and many interests. A number of volunteer opportunities are available for this major event including chairman or co-chairman positions for the festival’s crafts show, New England Café, public relations, music and dance, program book, signs, tickets, and the Holiday Festival Gala. House captains for the walking tour are also being sought, as are volunteers to work on the day of the festival.
