Dennis Tichon

Dennis Tichon, 87, of North Harwinton Avenue, Terryville, husband of the late Josephine (Brezicki) Tichon, died May 19 at St Francis Hospital, Hartford.

He leaves a son, Paul Tichon, and his wife, Pamela, of Newtown; a daughter, Joanne Tichon of Terryville; a brother, John Tichon of Bristol; two grandchildren, Daniel and Jennifer Tichon; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr Tichon was born May 4, 1918, in Terryville. He was the son of the late Clement and Irene (Pohlod) Tichon and was a resident of Terryville all of his life. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Debrin Metal Products of Terryville. He was a member of Sts Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, Terryville, and a member and treasurer of the former Russian American Citizens Club of Terryville.

Funeral services were held May 23 from the Scott Funeral Home, Terryville, to Sts Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church for a liturgy. Burial was in St Michael Cemetery, Terryville. A Panikhida was held May 22 at the funeral home.
