Newtown Savings Bank Introduces PEP

The St Rose School Pep Squad and Cheerleaders recently helped Newtown Savings Bank’s employees kick off the bank’s new Preferred Employee Program, called PEP, developed by the bank as a thank you to the employees of businesses banking with them.

Following performances by the St Rose Cheerleaders and Pep Squad, some of the officers of Newtown Savings Bank broke out into a cheer of their own, led by Karen Tracy, vice president of retail banking.

“That was a tough act to follow; actually two tough acts to follow. St Rose’s teams are going to do well this year,” Ms Tracy said.

John Trentacosta, president and chief executive officer, thanked St Rose for hosting the kick-off PEP rally.

“This is a small representation of the win-win situations we look for in the community,” he said. “I know this was a fun and productive kick-off for us. I hope we helped their teams by providing another opportunity to perform before a live audience.”

Jim Cotter, senior vice president of retail banking, talked a little bit about PEP.

“Karen assembled a team that put together a great package of benefits for the employees of our business customers,” said Mr Cotter. “It’s more than free checking, free ATMs everywhere, and a cash incentive — PEP encourages savings with bonus CD rates, plus offers mortgage and loan discounts. Yes, we are lending!”

Businesses interested in the PEP program can inquire at any Newtown Savings Bank location, or by calling 800-461-0672.

Established in 1855, NSB has branches in Newtown, Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Monroe, Shelton, Southbury, Trumbull, and Woodbury, and holds more than $950 million in assets. For more information visit nsbonline.com or call 800-461-0672.
