Appoints Director
LITCHFIELD â Education Connectionâs Board of Directors announced the appointment of Danuta Thibodeau to the position of executive director of the agency.
Dr Thibodeau came to Education Connection in 1998. She has served as director of learning services and most recently held the position of deputy executive director.
Her past experiences include serving as principal of Swift Junior High School in Watertown and interim assistant superintendent, assistant principal, and foreign language department chairperson for the Bethel public school system.
Dr Thibodeau is affiliated with several professional organizations including the American Association of Educational Services Center, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, National Association for Secondary School Principals, and Connecticut Staff Development Council.
A graduate of Niagara University in Lewiston, New York, Dr Thibodeau holds an undergraduate degree in Spanish. She also holds a master of arts degree in bilingual education from Fairfield University, a sixth year degree from Sacred Heart University, and a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Connecticut.
Education Connection is one of six Regional Education Service Centers in Connecticut. The agency serves 31 member school districts in the western portion of the state.
