Danbury Hospital Main Entrance Changes In Effect

DANBURY — To continue to provide a safe environment for its patients, visitors, and employees during Danbury Hospital’s expansion project, all visitors must now enter and exit Danbury Hospital through the Stroock Building Lobby located on the first floor at the Praxair Cancer Center. Parking is available in the Red Parking Garage using the Locust Avenue entrance.

The Purple parking lot (Hospital Avenue) will remain open exclusively for patients with special needs.

The Blue parking garage and lot on Hospital Avenue will be completely closed, and patients and visitors will be directed to park in the Red/Gold parking garages. All other patients or visitors are asked to access Danbury Hospital via the Stroock Building lobby.

The estimated Danbury Hospital expansion project timeline takes place as follows:

*March 2011 – Blue garage site work began

*June 2011 - Blue garage addition begins

*June–October 2011 – Street work underway

*November 2011 – Site work for Tower

*January 2012 – Blue garage complete

*Summer 2014 – Danbury Hospital expansion project complete
