Lost: An Officer And A Gentleman

I am saddened and dismayed to have lost a fully competent and compassionate police officer in this community after 15-plus years. I think it is a shame to us all.

I have always been told and raised that the police have a job to serve and protect. Officer Vadis is one of those type of officers. He is a professional, honest, and caring individual. While members of the Police Department like officer Chris Vadis and unnamed others carry on with professionalism, I have personally come across other officers only to find incompetence, lack of respect, and attitude, which in this tight community is disconcerting. I certainly hope the poor treatment of good officers isn’t politically motivated or some type of favoritism/ cronyism that can divide the department like it did several years ago.
