Girls U14

Roadrunners 2, Southbury 1 – Kaitlin Brophy scored two goals off of assists from Shannon Paproski to lead the Roadrunners to the win. Emma Kingsley and Izzy Gleason played a great game as the defensive talents of Sarah Attanasio, Kelly O’Conner and goalie Casey Rutter kept Roadrunners in the lead.

Roadrunners 2, New Fairfield 0 – The Roadrunners ended their fall season as district champions by shutting down New Fairfield. Kaitlin Brophy scored two goals with assists from Megan Gonzalez and Anna Bernath. Meaghan Carney, Ale Fuentes, and Sarah Murtha played great in midfield with defense held tight by Sarah Attanasio and Kelly O’Conner. Once again, Casey Rutter’s phenomenal ability as goalie kept the game a shut out.

Girls U12

Flash 3, Watertown 2 – Brittany Tolla scored two goals and Kristiana Engler added another as the Flash upended Watertown. Tough midfield play by Bridget Power, Amy Martin, Tressa Scott, Stephanie Roman and Lindsay Jossick was key. The defense was led by Kristy Papaj, Jenna Hindes, Kelly Brooks, Morgan Kirol and Kristen Grabowski who all played well in a tough fought second half comeback by Watertown. Melissa Buccino, Caitlin Yakush and Katie Shirley shared in the goaltending duties and allowed the Flash to capture their second consecutive undefeated season.

Girls U14

The Turf Ds 2, Danbury 1 – Emma Iannini scored the equalizer early in the second half while Sarah Stofko scored the go ahead goal late in the game as the Turf Ds rallied past Danbury. Jessica McDonald and Kyra Murray both played great in goal, shutting out Danbury tough offense. Cortney Beckett, Margo Trainer, and Alyse Brautigam played great defense while Sidney Hansen, Emily Rowe and Emily Albrecht played well in midfield.
