Lauralton Hall, a girlsâ Catholic college preparatory school located in Milford named the following area students to the fourth quarter honor roll. Nicole Boggs, Ashley Braun and Rachel Rowan attained high honors. Students Kathleen Murphy, Sharmila Corson, Elizabeth LaPerch, Brianna Barry, Patricia Culligan, Anne LoPiccolo, Michelle OâRourke, and Katelyn Power received honors recognition.
Newtown resident Patricia Wootton was inducted into the University of New Havenâs Sigma Beta Delta national business honor society on May 15. Patricia is working toward a master of business administration degree.
The following area residents recently graduated from Southern Connecticut State University. Newtown residents Keelin Daly and Megan Lynch graduated with bachelor of science degrees. Julie Logan graduated with a master in science degree. Sandy Hook residents Christine Altieri graduated with a masterâs in library science while Adam Carley and Lindsey Tripp graduated with master of science degrees. Julianne Doersch graduated with a bachelor of science degree. Richard Taylor received his sixth year diploma.
The following students from Newtown have been placed on the Deanâs List at Southern Connecticut State University for the spring semester: Alicia Marie Barry, Katrina Buyers, Keelin Daly, Michael James English, Lesley Ann Janutolo, Megan Lynch, and Janine Maura Pixley. Sandy Hook residents Amanda Buchholz, Jaclyn Cedor, and Frank Joseph Sqammato also received Deanâs List status at Southern for the spring semester.
The following area residents graduated in May from Western New England College, Springfield, Mass.: Denise Rider of Botsford received a bachelor of arts degree. Denise graduated Summa Cum Laude. Jaclynn Alpert of Newtown received a bachelor of arts degree. Kathleen Bartek of Sandy Hook received a bachelor of science in business administration and received Deanâs List honors. Sarah Ingerman of Sandy Hook received a bachelor of arts degree graduating with Cum Laude honors. Laura Smarrella also of Sandy Hook received a bachelor of arts degree. Area students Christopher Perry and Stephen Mancuso have been placed on the Deanâs List for the spring semester. Lisa Masella has been named to the Presidentâs List at Western New England College for the spring semester.
Jonathan Werbeck graduated in May from Springfield (Mass.) College with a bachelor of science degree.
Kelly Lee Coney, a physical therapy major, has been named to the Deanâs List for the spring semester at Ithaca College in New York. Kelly is currently doing an internship at the University of Rochester, New York, this summer.
Elana Tenenbaum has been named to the Deanâs List at Syracuse (N.Y.) Universityâs School of Architecture for the spring semester.
Jessica Omasta a journalism/mass communications student at St Bonaventure University, has been named to the Deanâs List for the spring semester.
The University of Rhode Island has named the following area students to the Deanâs List for the spring semester: Sara Klopfenstein, Nicole Potucek, and Amanda Reagle.
