Richard J.      Seaman
Richard J. Seaman, formerly of Sandy Hook, died July 24 at Mediplex of Southbury at the age of 74.
He was born in Bridgeport November 21, 1926, son of the late James L. and Jennie H (Lasko) Seaman. He attended Bridgeport schools and graduated from Yale and later from Fordham University with a degree in pharmacy. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. From 1962 until 1969, he owned and operated the Seaman Pharmacy in Monroe. Prior to his retirement to Southbury, he was a resident of Still Hill Road in Sandy Hook, and a member of St Rose Church in Newtown.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen R. (Reinhardt) Seaman.
His survivors are his three sons, Richard D. of Naugatuck, Jonathan J. and his wife, Diane, of Southbury, and Robert E. of California; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Jr, Stephanie, and Shannon Seaman; his brother, Donald of Easton; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28, at St Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, Brookfield at 9:30 am. Burial will be in St Thomas Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, July 27, from 5 to 7 pm.
