Take a walk down the Newtown Babe Ruth Hall of Champions. On the right we see the winners of the American League, National League, and AAA baseball divisions as well as the winners of the U14, U12 National, U12 American and U10 softball divisions.

First on the tour (starting at the top) is Nick’s Restaurant, the champs of American League baseball. Team members included Jake Benson, Kevin Cahalane, Joe Devellis, Cory Fletcher, Tony Gallucci, Danny Giorno, Kevin Jurasek, Kurtis Liska, Ryan McGrath, Cody Shpunt, Tyler Tarantino, and Chris Tomascak. The team was coached by Joe Devellis, Matt McGrath, John Giorno, Jeff Liska and Bill Shpunt. The sponsor was Tony Gallucci.

Next is Gruce Tile, champs of National League baseball. Team members included Brett Balforth, Ken Cardelle, Matt Coletti, Mike Frattaroli, Carlos Fuentes, Greg Gruce, Alex Hennessey, Allen Hubbard, Billy Kovack, Joel Minalgo, Graham Moller, Stefan Poulin and Zach Seaman. The team was coached by Mike Benedetto and Ken Condon.

And here we see The Newtown Bee, champs of AAA baseball. Team members included Kurt Nacewicz, Mike Poeltl, Max Muraskiewicz, Joe Selezan, Brian Carroll, Jeff Selezan, Judd Baggett, Gino Dilorio, Mat Siebert, Max Baudisch, Zach Gordon, Max Rochwarger, and Garrett Uhde.

Now along comes the winners of our youth softball divisions. Directly to the right is Lexington Gardens, winners of the U14 division. Team members included Gina Bloshuk, Katelyn Bolmer, Keri Graves, Lauren Grimaldi, Michele Imperioli, Amanda Klabonski, Katie Murphy, Rebecca Narel, Stacy Shpunt, Andrea Szabo, Heather Tracey and Corrine Yllanes. The team was managed by Dave Bloshuk and Rich Narel.

Next is The Quiet Company, winners of the U12 National division. Members included Abagail Atkinson, Karli Beitel, Amanda Chontos, Maggie DeMarco, Adeline Fullmer, Kate Kokoski, Amanda Krause, Kyla Miles, Jenna Moser, Sara Peters, Ashlee Ross and Jenna Van Waalwijk. The team was managed by Richard Van Waalwijk and coached by Erich Fullmer and Jane Peters.

Take another step and get a look at Newtown Insurance, winners of the U12 American division. Team members included Megan Petruney, Kathryn Ebert, Melissa Sheppard, Alana Winick, Nichole Beatty, Claire Berlioux, Michelle Brennan, Ashley Christiano, Sarah Greenfield, Catrina Morgan and Erin Ruddock.

Last – but not least – is Dr Gellert’s Braces, winners of the U10 division. Team members included Ashley Bolmer, Michelle Calladio-Nuzzo, Carolyn Gingras, Mary Kate Hubbard, Kendra O’Connor, Nancy Wilder, Adelle Cerreta, Annemarie Davis, Lauren Johnson, Catherine Kappauf, Elissa Robertson and Theresa Viesto.
