Workshop On Talking With Kids About Death and Grieving
Workshop On Talking With Kids About Death and Grieving
DANBURY â When a loved one dies it may be difficult to know how to help children cope. Children grieve differently than adults and may not be able to put grief into words. They may feel uncomfortable expressing themselves in ways that adults expect. To help parents and caregivers learn more about kids needs and how to talk with them about their loss, The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children and Families will host a special workshop, âTalking With Kids About Death and Grieving,â on June 4, from 6 to 7 pm.
The workshop will be led by Mary Condron, LCSW. Ms. Condron is both a lead facilitator at The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families and a medical social worker for Regional Hospiceâs clinical programs. She has a diverse background in social work and special expertise in working with children.
To participate in the upcoming workshop, please pre-register by calling (203) 792-4422.
