Thomas Francis Lynch
Thomas Francis Lynch
Cherished Father
And Grandfather,
Devoted To The Lord
Thomas Francis Lynch, 96, beloved patriarch of the Lynch clan, a resident of the Lordship section of Stratford for the past 58 years, died January 10. He was son of Bridget C. and Thomas J. Lynch.
Six children survive Mr Lynch, including Meg Fiscella, and her husband Robert, of Newtown. Sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, and many nieces and nephews also survive him. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Clancy Lynch; a daughter, Maureen Ringel; and four siblings.
He spent 44 years at Remington Arms Dupont Company as an accountant. Upon his retirement, the Lynches visited many places, especially Ireland, the home of his parents.
My Lynch was an avid gardener. He shared his love of gardening with many of his children and grandchildren. In his later years, his love of accounting evolved into a passion for picking horses in The Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Travers, and Belmont Stakes.
His deep faith in the Lord was very much a part of his daily life.
The Lynch family thanks the staff of the Carolton Chronic Convalescent Home and especially the Tortora family for their wonderful care and kindness. They also want to thank the many Good Samaritans of Lordship who shared friendly hellos and many helping hands throughout the years.
Calling hours were scheduled for Friday, January 14, from 3 to 8 pm, at St James Church, 2110 Main Street, Stratford. Friends are invited to attend his funeral, Saturday, January 15, at 10 am, at St James Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St Michaelâs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Care of Our Fatherâs House, c/o St James Church, or The Maureen Lynch Ringel Resource Center, Care of St Vincent Foundation, 2800 Main Street Bridgeport CT 06606.
