Nicer In Newtown
Nicer In Newtown
To the Editor:
I am sitting here at 5 am as a plow truck sands my local roads, and I am very thankful that I can leave for work knowing that my commute is made safer by the Newtown plow trucks. My sister-in-law lives just outside of Boston and often complains that their roads are not plowed. It is often unsafe to drive around town. Not so in Newtown, where the town has worked hard to make sure the roads are clear.
Neighbors are nicer in Newtown as well. Local neighbors bonded together to raise over $10,000 for a neighbor suffering from cancer. Preschool moms are helping another Newtowner by organizing meals. Neighbors and friends have helped me when I have needed it.
I commute nearly an hour to work. It certainly seems like an inefficient use of time. My response is simply, âIt is nicer in Newtown.â
