Farmers’ Markets Are Up And Running

Residents are reminded that there are two opportunities every week to purchase fresh fruits, flowers, vegetables, baked goods, and other items right in the center of Sandy Hook.

The Sandy Hook Village Farmers’ Market runs every Sunday morning from 9 until noon in the parking lot at 5 Glen Road. The weekly event continues until August 26.

The Sandy Hook Organic Farmers’ Market is open every Tuesday afternoon, running 2 to 6 in the parking lot behind St John’s Episcopal Church, 5 Washington Avenue. The emphasis is on locally grown organic and handmade items at this event, which will change to morning hours later in the season.
