Navy Ensign Jonathan P. Larsen recently graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and was commissioned to his current rank in the United States Navy. Jonathan successfully completed four years of intensive academic, physical, and professional training. As a graduate of the Naval Academy, Jonathan completed a total-immersion program where a strong, balanced academic program focused on the educational needs of the Navy and Marine Corps, is superimposed on a strict, professional military training environment emphasizing the development of leadership skills.

Kaitlin Sullivan was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2009 semester at the University of Notre Dame’s College of Arts and Letters. Students who achieve dean’s honors at Notre Dame represent the top 30 percent of students in their college. Kaitlin also plans to spend the summer in Dublin, Ireland, interning with the Press Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Irish government.

Kevin William Byrne Jr graduated with a bachelor of arts in English, Kathleen Marie Murphy graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor of arts in English, Gregory Michael Smith graduated with a bachelor of arts in communication and Jessica Katherine Yakush graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor of science degree in biology and Cum Laude with a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish from Villanova University, in Villanova, Penn., on May 17.

Megan Kristen Rogers of Sandy Hook was named to the Dean’s List at Juniata College, in Huntingdon, Penn., for the 2009 spring semester. The dean’s list at the college recognizes grade point averages of at least 3.6 out of a possible 4.0 scale.

Allen H. Hubbard Jr was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2009 semester at Saint Michael’s College, in Colchester, Vt. Allen is a first-year biology major at the liberal arts, residential Catholic college. Students who complete a minimum of 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 at the end of a semester are recognized for their scholarship by inclusion on the Dean’s List.

Caitlin Dalton of Sandy Hook was named to the Dean’s List at The State University of New York in Geneseo for the spring semester of 2009.
