Nichols Ordained

Newtown native Jennifer Nichols was ordained into the Presbyterian church earlier this month.

A celebration of the ordination of Jennifer Ester Nichols was celebrated at First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, Penn., on Sunday, January 10. Family and friends gathered for a service that took place in the church’s sanctuary beginning at 4 pm.

Jennifer is the daughter of Ester and Cliff Nichols of Newtown. She was born into and raised in Newtown Congregational Church.

She graduated from The Wooster School in Danbury in 1992. She then went to Swarthmore College, in Swarthmore, Penn., where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education.

Ms Nichols has also earned a master’s in social work from Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, Penn., and graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary.

She is currently a chaplain at Moravian Academy in Bethlehem, Penn., and lives in Easton, Penn.
